Joint projects with SI Kota Tinggi & SI Bangsar

SI Garden City sisters and families drove up to Kota Tinggi on 13 June to bring some cheers to children of the Refugees Community. We donated some toys, educational materials, books and titbits as well as some cash to support the good effort of SI Kota Tinggi to establish and sustain the learning journey of the Refugees' children.

We continued our journey to Janda Baik, at the foothill of Genting Highlands. Here, SI Bangsar shared the various programmes they are doing at this location.
a) Tree planting programme to save the world and to raise fund (each tree could be planted at the donation of RM 500)
b) Handicapped welfare centre – SI Bangsar is raising funds to buy vans to transport the handicapped to the centre. At the same time, the centre would like to complete the construction of their new building which is facing a fund shortage.
c) Tasak (Pre-school) – we donated books, toys, clothings & tidbits to the children. We also bought 12 sets of toiletries and stationeries (costing SI Garden City $126.78). At the centre, we also presented a cheque of RM 600 (contributed by Joyce, Debbie and Lengleng), in the name of SI Garden City to SI Bangsar to assist them to fund their ongoing project work at the handicapped welfare centre as well as the Tasak.
d) Goat-rearing project – we learnt that SI Bangsar successfully garnered the sponsorship of big corporation such as Deutsche Bank to purchase goats for the Orang Asli. We visited one such family and found that they managed to raise 27 off-springs from 3 goats within a span of 2 years.
e) Resource centre at the Shelter – we bought some books which would help to set up the Resource centre for the older kids in the village. The Shelter houses orphanages as well as children whose families are simply too poor to afford their existence. SI Bangsar has raised funds to engage tutors to come to the centre on a weekly basis.

All of us learnt a great deal in this journey. We thank our sisters at Kota Tinggi and Bangsar for their kind hospitality. We look forward to doing more joint projects together in future.

About the Speaker
Ms Leong Chooi Peng is a lawyer in private practice. She has been “practising” reflexology for about 20 years. For the last 3 years, she had been going to the United States to hone her skills in the various energy therapies. Applying the energy psychology techniques, she had been having near-miraculous results – friends & clients being freed of stress, anxieties, distress, trauma, backaches, stomach-aches, very often within minutes. It sounds incredible but those are the amazing results that she had been having. She is therefore very passionate about teaching the very simple yet powerful technique to others so that they can heal themselves.

Case Histories
1 Mrs Ng, aged 66, near-blind for about 30 years, vision improved dramatically after about 20 minutes of tapping. Today she is even able to read the lyrics of songs
2 Indian man could not walk after falling down on MRT steps. After 2 rounds of tapping (7 – 8 minutes) he got up to walk
3 Lawyer Liaw had an excruciating backache, had to walk with back bent. After 3 rounds lasting about 10 minutes, pain gone
4 Joyce’s son – Mind went blank on eve of O level Chinese exam. Guided tapping over the phone. After about 15 minutes, regained confidence & went on to score an A in exam.
